About the Artist
Kiana is an artist/designer born in Hawaii, raised in Southern California, then started her own family in the beautiful Pacific Northwest
She is a lifelong, self taught and mentored artist, and studied as a Graphic design major at OSU.
Visual art, performance art, and music has always been an integral part of her life and upbringing, as the daughter of late artist Daniel Keiser, and niece of the late Randy California of the 60's rock band SPIRIT (just to name a couple) After a major catharsis in 2008, she fully dedicated herself to cultivating a career in the arts. Her life experience, paired with an unquenchable thirst for creativity and experimentation, truly allows her to work within many style genres and with varying mediums.
Kiana's unique interpretation of the watercolor garden-scape, and abstract pieces garnered the attention of the online art world and maker-movement curators and designers first with with features in THE JEALOUS CURATOR by Danielle Krysa, JUSTINA BLAKENEY, The Artsy Forager, and with Art and Design magazines and bloggers like ELLE DECOR, Whitney Port.com, ANTHOLOGY Magazine, The Artsy Forager, Country Living Magazine, DOMINO Magazine, Better Homes and Gardens, TORY BURCH Daily, etc...
She works within many aspects of the art and design world, as a fine artist, textile and surface designer, and Illustrator, for health, beauty and fashion, and fine art clients.
Collaborations are an important and integral part of her artistic M.O. She has partnered with Big Brands, maker oriented platforms and Galleries alike, and can find her work in-store and on sites such as: WEST ELM, Pottery Barn, ANTHROPOLOGIE, Artfully Walls, GREAT.LY, Lulu and Georgia, One Kings Lane, IKEA, MINTED.com, ORION magazine, Domino.com, BRIKA, Ugallery, COLLECTOR San Fransico, M.I.A., Saatchi Art, Scoutmob, etc.
