Jill creates images because she has to, playing with colour is as natural and essential as breathing, seeing the colours and lines create images on the page sustains her.
Originally from the New England Tablelands and now on the Gold Coast, Jill Robb is an Emerging Artist, a creator of quirky imagery inspired by nature, imagination and play.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Biochemistry- so she sees things as bits of energetic stuff interacting the natural way -simple, complex, beautifully weird and quirky.
It also explains her methodology of being experimental. She either works to an idea plan or she doesn't. The media she uses for her imagery includes inks, charcoal, pastels, pencils, oil and watercolour paints, and digital for her illustration work.
She has also studied Graphic Design, Photography, Photo Imaging, and various Art and Design based undergraduate units. Researching and learning are incorporated with experimentation and play for new work, techniques and media.
Quirky, fun imagery creator inspired by Nature, Imagination and Play.
