Raised in Virginia, I earned my BA in Art History from BYU with many art classes and workshops along the way and thereafter. Now I raise my family of four children in Central California along with my husband, and paint, constantly.

The process of putting a brush to surface slows time for me so I notice subtleties - texture on a petal, a swipe of ripening pigment on a pear, light filtering through fabric - in ways I otherwise entirely miss. Painting is my way to pay attention to and process the beauty and complexity of the world around me.
