I am a digital and mixed media artist currently residing in the UK, taking inspirtion from nature, dreams, music and imaginary flora and fauna.
I tend to work primarily with traditional media, particularly watercolor and gouache, which I will occasionally reconstruct digitally, preferably within procreate, a fantastic drawing app for the ipad.
I am particularly drawn to the works of David Hockney, the floral paintings of Elizabeth Blackadder, Tove Jansson and Marc Chagall.
Often, I will allow music to guide my working process, which can often lead to quite exciting compositions. My musical favourites include Brian Eno, the japanese minimalist Hiroshi Yoshimura and the wonderful, meandering jazz compositions of Dorothy Ashby.
Whilst the majority of my portfolio consists of the final compositions in a digital format, I have recently begun to work more consistently with traditional materials, which I intend to expand upon, hopefully with a view to offer my audience original works on paper.
