Background

Sybil Wigdor (1939 - 1991) was born in Ottawa Canada where she studied drawing and painting under Henri Masson. She graduated from the Montreal Museum School of Fine Arts excelling in illustration and pure design. In 1969 she moved to Israel and studied etching, print and paper making. Her works appeared in numerous exhibits in Israel, Europe and Canada, including solo exhibitions. She was also a member of the Israel Artists Association. To date her works are represented in public and private collections in Belgium, England, France, Ireland, Sweden, South Africa, Germany, Canada, the United States and Israel.
