Ilana Gal was born in Israel 1968, and lives in Giv'at Nili. She studied in graphic design at "Emek Israel" College, and has been painting as a professional artist since 1995. Her work mainly involve acrylic on canvas and large scale paintings.


I always use natural objects in my works. My inspiration comes from my children's paintings - figures, animals and unrealistic forms. I found my way and style by self-experience and by observing the works of painters I admire - Dubuffet, Basquiat, and Karel Appelare among my inspirations.
