Background

Emily Proud is a San Francisco based artist best known for her watercolor paintings. She is a native San Franciscan and currently lives and works in the Mission district. She has a BA in Fine Art from UCLA School of Arts & Architecture.

Statement

Emily's paintings showcase the unique traits of her watercolor medium. They often study relationships of color, line, and depth, using negative space to create flat, geometric pieces. Her work often references the landscape, domestic life, and other everyday observations.
