Cory McBee is currently living in Charleston, SC. As a graduate from The College of Charleston with a BA in Studio Art and a MFA from Savannah College of Art and Design in Graphic Design, Cory works as both an illustrator and fine artist. Having been a creative all her life, for 15 years she focused primarily on graphic design. In 2015, she decided to come back to painting and is enjoying the ability to work as both a digital and fine artist.

My artwork is a culmination of my experiences and training as both a classical artist and a graphic designer. My work uses various geometric formulas to explore key composition elements, and bring them forward through my use of color and texture. I also use it as an opportunity to expand my abilities through constant experimentation. With influences ranging from Curtis Jeré, Willem de Kooning, Mark Rothko and contemporary masters I discover the beauty in the evolution of the object, place and idea. The search of how to find myself is ever evolving and takes a transcendent journey through color, pattern and form.
