Painting primarily in watercolor and gouache, artist Emily Grady Dodge loves exploring bold color combinations, botanical abstractions, and patterns inspired by vintage textiles. Her aim with every piece is to evoke feelings of happiness and delight within the viewer. Fun fact; if you stopped by her studio, chances are you will hear Fleetwood Mac blasting on the speakers.
Emily currently lives in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn with her husband and tabby cat. She grew up in sunny Winter Park, Florida, which undoubtably continues to influence her work through both palette and subject matter.
